Sutska was our first Samoyed and our first Champion but first and foremost she was a much loved pet and a loyal friend & companion who brought us so much happiness.

A late comer to the show scene, she attended her first show in April 1998 and won her first Green Star at Swords in June 1998. On Christmas Day 1998 she gave birth to her first litter by C-Section and then took time out to recover. We decided then that it would be her last litter. A daughter from this litter was later to become our first homebred Champion.

Sutska gained her title in April 2002 . One of our proudest moments was later that year when she became 2nd top Veteran in Ireland (All Breeds) finishing only 5 points behind the winner. We are also proud of her achievements at Ch Shows in UK including her 4th place in the Veteran Class at Crufts 2004 and her BVIB at Darlington in 2002.

On 30 July Sutska had major surgery to remove mammary tumours and her lymph nodes. She made a remarkable recovery from this surgery and seemed to get a new lease of life. Sadly by the beginning of October she was showing signs that all was not well again. Despite several courses of treatment her condition continued to deteriorate. On 25 October we finally had to make the hardest decision of our lives and release her from her pain.

She had also many BOB's, Group Placings and Best Veteran in Show wins at Open & Ch Shows in Ireland.

"Denim" was from Sutska's first litter and was a litter sister to Holly.

She returned to live with us in March 2002 when her owners moved abroad and were unable to take her with them. Although never having been to a show before Denim settled very quickly in the ring.

Our proudest moment was when she won Green Star Bitch, BOB & BIS at the Irish Samoyed Club Ch Show in June 2002 under breed specialist Pam Taylor (Naduska Samoyeds). This was her first outing at a Ch Show.

Judges critique: Wow, I couldn't believe this beauty. Such a pretty bitch, very feminine. Lovely head and expression. In excellent plush coat. Gorgeous tailset. So much to like. Never stopped showing and just flowed on movement.

Her success continued throughout the summer at all Ch and Open Shows she attended.

She seemed destined for an exciting show career but sadly that all came to a sudden end when we lost her in tragic circumstances on 1 October 2002. Her time with us was too short.
